Noob question on ground clearance and scraping

My car is a three year old 4S with Sport PASM. Finally replacing the front trim this morning more because of discoloration (fading) and stains, than scrapes to the bottom of the plastic which happens pretty regularly. Old is on the car, new is on the ground. The 991 scrapes far more often than my lowered 997.2 ever did, but the difference is that the 997.2 scraped up painted bumper, whereas this is just a $160 piece of trim. Not worth getting a lift kit for just this piece. It's a 20 minute install job; DIY on Youtube.

Correction. It was a 5 minute DIY job to swap the SPASM trim. The Youtube video is actually a front spoiler trim conversion. No tools required to remove and install SPASM trim. Just push forward and unseat the two larger tabs (see photo above) from both the left and right side, and pull the remaining tabs straight down. Install in reverse.

Just picked up our GTS last Friday & looked for one with front axle lift. Our office parking lot has a sharp dip & our 997 scrapes unless we take it very slowly & at a sharp angle. I know the spoiler lip is inexpensive & easy to replace, but the FAL offers me the peace of mind that was worth the upcharge. The stress of worrying about scraping was more than the price we paid for FAL.

Bringing up the old scrape topic as theNew ride arrives shortly, and I am nervous as hell about the scraping
2015 Carrera S no lift. I am more concerned going head our as driveway is slopes down and crown of road slopes toward driveway
even at angle I think its gonna hit. Is there a way to measure the angle or where scraper plate will be when tire reaches the bas of drop curb ( so like 2+ ft in front of wheels is where I think it will grab the road ? Distance from ground to scaoer and from scraper to bottom of tire and I think I could figure it out with a level. Thanks all !

Just drive out at an angle. You have plenty of room to come at that from the side, and should have no problem clearing it. My car has the lower suspension option, my driveway is way worse angle, and I make it in/out without issue and minimal scraping only occasionally when I rush it. Once you get your corner wheel on the driveway just start turning into it and you should be good.

Doubt it will be an issue going into that approach.

Thanks All, !
Hoping its not an issue I agree should not be an issue if road were flat and or, if driveway was flat. It's the going out nose first I am concerned with the scraping caused by angle and hieght of the road coming in. when wheels go over drop curb, the front will drop and scrape nose If I have to redo driveway $$, I may as well. spring for for the FAL? Any concern on the S model in front of rear wheel? scraper there as well. Or is this newbie way overthinking this? LOL either way Im still very excited to drive this machine!

This S looks little lower than the standard? but really hoping it works out !! Slope of drive no problem Its getting over that 8" ? Curb thats my concern and going out that nose may hit when wheel goes into gutter? Do you have the curb and gutter or Just road to driveway and greater slope
Thanks for the reply! JC
