I am about 2.5-3 hrs away but I may try and go for the day. Looks like it is at a new venue this year, a little east of Laguna Seca. Anyone know if this is better as far as the horrendous traffic jams and parking typical of car week in Monterey?

Yes, I'm going. The golf course is on the way to Seca, but should be a little less traffic. Basically, it's a nasty weekend to be on the Monterey peninsula.

The key for anything this weekend will be to go where you're going to spend time earlier than you normally would. Placement of cars is at 7, and that's a decent time to be on the road.

Yes, it should be a lot better. Nobody lives out there but a few ranchers and a bunch of golfers.
