wow, awesome mods, thanks Rye and Yuan Li for doing this.

Questions with this upgrade,

Can I just add sport/sport plus **** onto my 2013 991.1 Sport Wheel?

I have a aftermarket Pioneer deck as my PCM was just a CDR.

Do I need to have PCM in order for the multifunction wheels to work properly?

I don't mind losing the adjusting volume function, but what about selecting different function on the gauges?

I think it’s difficult mount “SC switch ****” to 991.1 sport design wheel, and original wheel inside no electronics box can hold the **** communication,so it’s mission impossible.
Multifunction wheel control aftermarket Pioneer deck need this can bus adapter install between CDR CAN BUS and Pioneer remote control, convert steering wheel control CAN Bus protocol to aftermarket box control signal.

Subscribed. I was originally interested because of the heat function but the wheel looks fantastic! Thanks for sharing your experience.

Just jumping in to say that a Macan wheel in the 991.1 (mine is a C4 GTS) works great. Only one small niggle, which is that pulling both paddles to get neutral doesn't work.

If original sport design steering wheel with Sport Chrono Package, didn’t change steering wheel type to multifunction, keep in sport design steering wheel type,I think can keep this feature and multifunction works well, except no MF key setting menu in instrument cluster display menu.

What’s the difference between the 991.2 wheel and the Macan wheel? Why use one over the other?

OP, nice job! I’ve been wondering if there was an agate gray wheel to do this retrofit.

I am thinking about doing the same I have a 2012.5 with MF steering wheel as well. Is there any soldering needed if I dont have heated SW?

Also what are you doing with your old steering wheel?

I am interesting in your paddle shifter conversion

No soldering required. Even if you have a heated steering wheel Li now includes the modified circuit board.

I sold my old steering wheel and airbag on eBay. Just be patient, eventually someone will buy it.

I could only find a Macan steering wheel in the configuration I wanted. Not sure if there's a difference, to me it looks exactly the same and it's a perfect match with my interior. I couldn't be happier!
