The advantage of this, if you talk to your wife and she's OK with going with a cab, is that you can easily get a nicely optioned 991.1 S cab for $90k or less. Targas are just more expensive for the reason I outlined before, they don't depreciate as much.
This somewhat parallels my buying experience last year. There was a really nice 2015 Sapphire Blue Targa 4S available, but the dealer wanted $128k, and wouldn't come down at all. I ended up getting an 2014 C4S cab for $94k, and almost certainly overpaid for it.
