Default OMG - A/S/S Fixed?

I was just reading the thread on the phone clip and saw this item. Has anybody installed it on a 991.2 with SC and PSE? I want it to keep the Auto Start Stop always off.

$200, yikes. There has to be a way to disable A/S/S permanently simpler than that, no?

I'll pay it unless there is another solution. I think it's been discussed ad nauseam in here with no solution.

Porsche would probably charge $500 for this "exclusive" feature

VW (and Porsche) are already on the EPA **** list. I suspect they will never admit/offer a methods to defeat the require A/S/S.

Bkrantz,

Good point you're right. It'll probably only be available on the next 911R if at all. Expect a $5k option price in that case.

I didn't realize that A/S/S was always on in the 991.2's. Boy, it sucks to be you guys burdened with brand new cars.

My ‘15 retains its off setting. Perhaps tied to the key memory? FWIW, I do have Entry & Drive.

No, it worked that way with or without entry & drive for the 991.1.

My current 991.1S has entry and drive; my first one, a 2012.5 did not - they both had the auto start/stop remain off if you pressed it off.

Only works if you have 'SPORT' button on the center console.
If you have the rotary mode selector on the steering wheel, so far there is no mod available that I know of.- Richard

No, from what they say, the A/S/S and PSE control will still be remembered with this mod even if you have Sport Chrono. Just the Driver setting (Sport, Sport+ etc.) will not be remembered. Which makes sense since PSE and A/S/S have buttons on the console where this plugs in regardless of Sport Chrono.
