Well, I took the 2014 C2S Cabriolet PowerKit car in last week for the 40K service at the 42,880 mile mark.

I had the stuff I wanted done "a la carte".

On my own, I did the simple cabin filter change. The small accordian one in the frunk I change every 20,000 miles. The more expensive charcoal cabin filter in the cabin looked remarkably clean after +42,800 miles. Sorry, no pic of those.

Here's what I had the dealership do:

1) Mobil 5W50 oil & filter change
2) Spark Plugs
3) Engine Air Filters
4) Brake Fluid Flush (my second one)
5) Replaced Serpentine Belt (elected to do this early; 6 year/60,000 mile service)

Car has been flawless prior to the 40K and as expected running flawless after. Did a 350 mile country road run soon after the service, and the car is very-very strong.

The 40K was uneventful, as expected. The most surprising thing to me, was how (relatively) clean the engine air filters were.

This was the very first serpentine belt change the dealership has done on a 991. I debated doing it early, but elected to do it, while they had the bumper off. They under-quoted me, and honored the estimate. I think Rennlisters may be surprised by the cost of this service item. I suggest you have it done when the bumper is off for the plug changes.

All in, I was at $1,530.20 out the door. I think this was a very fair price. 3.5 cents a mile to drive the past 40 months.

Took the car in on a Wednesday morning, got a Macan loaner, picked-up my completed car on Thursday morning. Low drama.

What is so difficult about changing the serp belt that you think they underquoted you? Just curious as me or my mechanic may attempt out of warranty servicing.

Good question. I don't really know. They mainly under-quoted the labor hours. Removing the airbox is slightly more work then they quoted me. As we all know, the billed hours are always higher than the actual time spent. Regardless, they honored the lower estimated time.

Side note- they did NOT have a belt in their parts department. I called a few local dealerships, and they did not have them either. They were able to source one the same day. So, plan ahead. Belt is about $80.

Still glad I did the belt service early, as I don't have to be bothered with the service in a short 12,000 miles. Now I can go another +40,000 miles. My luck, I'd blow a belt, and the only guy around would be a farmer or an Amish dude.

Well, for sure I did. About 6 prior oil changes and one brake fluid flush. I was just itemizing this one 40K service with my mental mathematics.

Lex, which dealership did you give your business to?

For the PDCC'ers remember you have a reservoir bottle replacement at 60K which the belt and pump needs to be removed so a belt replacement is logical at this time.

For non-PDCC'er doing the belt replacement at 40K is pretty logical. Great suggestion.

I've only got 17K on my car, and its due for plugs at 4 years which will be end of this year. I'm debating whether or not to do it, or let it go longer. My car is not out in rain or driven in the winter, so there would be no rust or corrosion to do them on time - that's my thinking, anyways. Your plugs look good from the photos, a bit of carbon buildup on the electrode on a couple, but wear looks minimal.
