Porsche insurance?
Anyone signed on with Porsche for car insurance? I received an email from them, filled out the form and my quote is about 50% less than I am currently paying.

No availability in Florida right now. I'm looking because we just sold our home and bought a better one. Had a package deal with discounts, with the old house. Now have a good homeowners deal via an independent agent, but still searching for a good auto insurance deal...

I have everything bundled with state farm... I shopped around Im not kidding when i say that "Farmers and Liberty was Double the price to insure my 911 - clearly did not want my business." Mercury didn't even have my make and model on file....
Progressive WONT guarantee OEM parts like state farm did.
Would be interested in checking it out for sure.

currently only shows availability in 3 states; Georgia, Oregon and Illinois.
Definitely pays shopping around. I have 3 insurance co I work with and they were all over the place. State Farm was also my best bet for the 991.

I have everything with State Farm in FL, and as noted above, I can't find anyone even remotely competitive with them. I get mailings all the time about how much money Geico, Progressive, etc. can save me off my State Farm policies. They usually show savings I can get that are more than I'm currently paying, so I'd love having one of them sending me checks to insure with them.
Unfortunately when you actually get a quote, you also get a far different story along with a far bigger premium.
I can sort of imagine Porsche offering insurance more customizable for a 911. But cheaper? I'm sorry but that one just does not compute.

State Farm here as well - no one is even remotely close in Texas on the T. And that's before the telemetry discount (yeah, yeah, I know....but it has turned out to be significant after 1.5 years). USAA was 1.7x, Farmers 1.8x, Progressive 1.4x, Liberty 2.2x, Geico 1.4x when I did my last round of due diligence in Sept.
cheers!

I just ran our cars through their system for a quote. It was about equal to Allstate(bundled) but with agreed value and would go up if mileage exceeded estimates. I could see where this would work well if you drive a limited amount every year though.

Just beware that this is mileage based insurance and via third party: "The coverage is being offered in collaboration with Mile Auto, an Atlanta-based pay-per-mile auto insurance company that uses computer vision technologies to help low-mileage drivers save money. Mile Auto customers use their smartphones to report mileage once a month, and then they pay based on exact miles driven plus a base rate."

Wonder how much they paid porsche to "partner" with them.
Its like the OEM extended warranties that are not truly through the OEM - Ahem...
Thankfully Porsches extended warranty is "factory" a based.

Porsche's CPO warranty is factory-based, and only 2 years, which is not really an extended warranty to me compared to Fidelity that is sold by Porsche.
