Default Switched 91 octane to E10 93 and no more CEL?

Since the car was running catless downpipes, I had a set of J style o2 spacer installed. But the bung didn't prevent check engine light.
Few days ago, i moved to Toronto and I found 93 octane with 10% ethanol from esso. Simply I put 93 instead of pure gas from shell(91 v power).
And there's no CEL anymore.
Anyone know how this works?

Fabspeed has these spacers with small inline cats just for the sensor.

Short answer is I suspect the engine really likes the 93 gasoline, even with 10% ethanol or probably a bit less. My info is gasoline distributors don't ship "10%" ethanol but like to keep the ethanol percentage down around 7% to 8%. "93" is I think the preferred grade of octane.

My limited experience with my 996 Turbo is switching from 91 to 93 for a few tankfulls when I was out in Wyoming is the Turbo engine really liked the 93 octane gasoline. I don't recall if it had ethanol or was ethanol free. I was just happy to find 93 octane and at prices competive with lower octane grades of gasoline.
