Anyone have experience / recommendations for an installer in Miami / Ft Lauderdale to put in a remote Radar / Jammer and separately Paint Protection Coating on a TT...thanks everyone (also on Jammers it seems ALP is the most recommended, anyone have suggestions for regular radar)

Yes. I can name 2 for the radar and jammer

Technicar in West Palm Beach and Total Auto Protection in West Kendall.

I've used both and they are excellent. I prefer Jeff at Total Auto Protection because the other one tends to charge too much Porsche tax.

For paint protection call Avi at Royal Car Care. He does lots of exotics and does great work.

Thanks for the referrals!

Also, since you have jammers on board, what did you install for regular radar?

Auto Supershield in Boca is one of the best for wraps/protection. Ask for Pepe.' Brian at Tint World in West Palm does a great job installing jammers/radar.

I don't recommend my radar. I am not satisfied with it. I use Net Radar.

There is some good information here: http://www.thedrive.com/opinion/10339/what-is-the-worlds-best-radar-detector

I have the ALP system (front and rear) and the Bell STiR for radar. Escort Max 360 CI may be a good radar choice now however. It wasn't available when I did my 991.1.

A bit off topic, but relavent to those in the know about jammers/radar.

Does anyone know the law in Arizona regarding the use or radar and jammers? Both legal, radar only, etx.

Very happy with my recent installation of ALP with Net Radar -- integration is very good and seamless. All warnings come through a hidden speaker and a non-descript led. Regarding Net Radar --no false alerts (X and K are turned off -- not used in my area), and it saved me the other night as a law enforcement officer was trolling me from behind. This hardware works with an Android or iPhone app, but it's unnecessary, as the speaker tells you what's happening, and from which direction. The phone apps are good at updating firmware -- and there are frequent updates available, to defend against the latest peace officer's arsenal.

The built in ALP with Net Radar is not cheap, but a good investment for "Ticket Magnet Vehicles" -- any 911 variant. My setup was about $3.5K installed (parts and labor).

I do like my V1 -- use it on my Cayenne on long trips only. Plenty of false alarms on that (leave K and KA on, as I'm unsure of radar protocol outside of my immediate area).

Considered the Escort Max 360 CI, but it's still new, and as of a month or two ago was unproven. Some have pointed out that Escort, in the past, has not been forthcoming with firmware updates in a timely basis.
