Did you speak to the manager directly? My experience has taught me to always push to talk to the manager directly as they are the ones to make the call. Last time I had a salesman tell me they turned down $xxxk for a car. When I spoke to the manager, I got the car for $10k less than the offer the salesman said they turned down.
