For the sake of this thread to be useful for others in the future, who may have the same idea as I do, here is a photo of "S" in red color.

At the same time I am 95% done making a decision in favour of option 1, which would be this:

Why?
You would better leave it as it was before. It was just perfect

I swapped black for the OEM chrome model designation on my black 997TT when I had it. This thread inspired/reminded me I need to do the same on my black 991TTS. Parts ordered; should be here any day. Thanks guys.

Ended up "converting" to matte black, and now that I look at it, the "turbo" is a bit small. Need to change it

Before and after:

This looks good. If you go with black, I think clear taillights are a must. Plus keep it all black. The yellow S in the other photo just looks messy.

Thanks...you convinced me to keep it a little longer.

The bottom turbo emblem is the 991 version. I used the top one that is for 997/996 turbo without the S. The turbo S for the 997/996 slots in between the two. I tried Porsche with the bigger chrome piece and the combination looked too big.

Thank you.
I mostly wanted to see if my "turbo" is substantially smaller. I purchased most of the matte components from Suncoast...the turbo I had to look to eBay.
