BBS FI-R + TechArt Suspension Makes This 991.2 TT As OEM Plus As It Gets // TAG MS
http://tagmotorsports.com/Forums/TAG/Logos/TAG-RED.jpg Its been about a year since the 991.2’s started hitting the streets, and the more we see them the more we love them. Porsche, however, really is doing a stellar job at making them look even more stunning from the factory. That leaves us with the question: what are a few small and subtle things that we can do to improve these things slightly? http://tagmotorsports.com/Forums/201...bbs_fir_19.jpg Along came our client Bret, with his 2017 991.2 Turbo. He purchased this beautiful Rhodium Silver Turbo and immediately had in mind he wanted to do some subtle things but nothing over the top. We got to thinking, wheels and some suspension are a MUST on there. Being that this car was equipped with the OEM Noselift, the TechArt lowering springs were the obvious answer. With the subtle 20mm drop, it gave the car a nice ride height and maintained the Noselift and the factory PASM along with a very OEM ride quality. What more can you ask for? With suspension checked off the list, we began wondering what wheels to go with. Being that the new FI-R from BBS is one the most stunning looking wheels, and we are able to re-use the OEM Porsche Spec Pirelli Tires off the factory wheels - we quickly ordered up a set and got them in. The 5 Lug configuration of this wheel came in weighing a mere 17.4 lbs in the 20x9 Fronts and the rears weighed in at 19.85lbs in the 20x11.5 configuration. Thats a substantial weight savings on each corner (about 7lbs front and 10lbs rear weight savings on each corner of unsprung weight!), which can be immediately felt while driving. Lighter turn in, and a an incredible sense that the car is light on its feet. http://tagmotorsports.com/Forums/201..._bbs_fir_1.jpg The client also had us fit the Boost Logic Titanium exhaust for a bit more sound and power. The soundtrack is wonderful, and this 911.2 is a blast to drive. Here’s a complete list of mods on this 991.2 Turbo. 2017 Porsche 991.2 911 Turbo - BBS FI-R Wheels in Platinum Silver - OEM 245/35/20 & 305/30/20 Pirelli PZero Tires - TechArt Lowering Springs - BoostLogic Exhaust System Enjoy some more from the shoot! http://tagmotorsports.com/Forums/201..._bbs_fir_2.jpg http://tagmotorsports.com/Forums/201..._bbs_fir_3.jpg http://tagmotorsports.com/Forums/201..._bbs_fir_4.jpg http://tagmotorsports.com/Forums/201..._bbs_fir_5.jpg http://tagmotorsports.com/Forums/201..._bbs_fir_6.jpg http://tagmotorsports.com/Forums/201..._bbs_fir_7.jpg http://tagmotorsports.com/Forums/201..._bbs_fir_8.jpg http://tagmotorsports.com/Forums/201..._bbs_fir_9.jpg http://tagmotorsports.com/Forums/201...bbs_fir_10.jpg http://tagmotorsports.com/Forums/201...bbs_fir_11.jpg http://tagmotorsports.com/Forums/201...bbs_fir_12.jpg http://tagmotorsports.com/Forums/201...bbs_fir_13.jpg http://tagmotorsports.com/Forums/201...bbs_fir_14.jpg http://tagmotorsports.com/Forums/201...bbs_fir_15.jpg http://tagmotorsports.com/Forums/201...bbs_fir_16.jpg http://tagmotorsports.com/Forums/201...bbs_fir_17.jpg http://tagmotorsports.com/Forums/201...bbs_fir_18.jpg http://tagmotorsports.com/Forums/201...bbs_fir_20.jpg http://tagmotorsports.com/Forums/201...bbs_fir_21.jpg http://tagmotorsports.com/Forums/201...bbs_fir_22.jpg If you have any questions at all regarding any parts you see on this car, please feel free to contact us by clicking HERE or call 877-523-6747 for more details. |

Are these the same specs as GT3 FI-R sizes? Any spacers used at all?

Front: 20x9 ET52 Rear: 20x12 ET44 On this 5 lug application we went with Front: 20x9 ET48 Rear: 20x11.5 ET46 So the front (if you have centerlock) is 4mm less aggressive than the fitment that we show in these photos, but the rear is 8mm MORE aggressive than these photos. On this car we did NOT use ANY spacers at all. It just looks perfect in my opinion. Let us know if you are interested in any BBS Centerlock or 5-Lug setups :) |

Correct, with the TechArt lowering springs and OEM size tires (245/35/20 & 305/30/20) there is no rubbing issues. :)

Great! Would the same be true on a 991.1TT? Just realized the car above is a 991.2.

Any Idea if these wheels will fit a 997.2 GTS with center locks?
