At least 550 wheel horsepower (565 tq) and about 700 crank (roughly 20%), and probably easily 200 hp more.

Hi Racer. We have about 100 By Design Stage 4 cars around the world pushing 700-800 hp depending on fuel used with no issues. A few cars we have run to the limits close to 900hp with methanol and making records for us finding the clutch limits. We also a few big non VTG turbo cars at almost 1000 hp that slip for sure haha. We have been working closely with Dodson Motorsport and the clutch upgrade is awesome! Great daily drivability and rock hard shifts under pressure at full throttle. There are about 12 cars we have done and a total of about 40 around the world so far. The Dodson PDK upgrade is rated and tested at 1200hp or so and we are already working on stage 2. The engines have been run at 1000 and internals tested to support 1000 crank hp (about 20% more than the Mezger). We also have a few motor upgrade cars running.

Hope that helps. Feel free to reach out we are having so much fun with these!

The turbo pdk are torque limited. Grab a PIWIS 2 and see the clutch hydraulic pressure levels and the factory limiters.. The answer is to find out what the limiters are set out between the 991.1TT vs the S. If you are over the limiter> you will have clutch pack failures.

From memory the Dobson clutch pack is rated at 950Nm not lbs ft...

Does the 991 turbo have the same PDK Trans as the 991 GT3? If so, why does the GT3 sound like it shifts quicker and harder?

Two variants of the PDK trans:

PDK-S (GT3/RS) vs PDK (TT/S)

Your saying Porsche made two different PDK transmissions? Could you explain a little further, thanks.

I could... but "search" is your friend both here and especially 991 GT forum.

Searched can't seem to find anything about the comparison of a 991 PDK Turbo and a 991 PDK GT3 transmission. Any one else want to chime in?
