Can the normal key be used in the ignition switch once the dummy key has been removed ?

Yes. With the "real" key outside the car, turn the dummy key to "on" without starting the car, 3x and it should unlock and let you remove the dummy key. DO NOT FORCE it!

I use the key vs dummy key.

Comfort entry question......

How do you disable the memory functions (seat, wheel + other settings) once you have it set.

Here's what happened:

Got a MFD warning of low battery in key. Took three NEW batteries to find one it liked and then
whether I touched something or who knows - Now settings I have are OK in the memory button setting on the door + I did the key setting too & unchecked the comfort setting in the MFD but it still requires me
to touch the "1" on the door to get back to where I want it....WTF?

Why would you pay $1,090 for an option and not use it?

I wasn't trying to be a smart alec. I was just curious why/when it would be beneficial not to use the dummy key.
