Default 20's or 21's

Planning to swap stock TTS wheels for HRE P101's.

I LOVE the 21" set up, but the size is very unique.

Front 21 x 9.5 wheel with P-Zero 255/30/21
Rear 21 x 12.5 wheel with P-Zero 325/25/21.

Apparently, tires for the fronts are indefinitely back ordered and only offered by Pirelli.

Common sense would say to stick with the standard 20" size, but of course this is not my preference....

Anyone have any info on the reason behind backorder? Curious also on your thoughts and opinions.

Wheels boutique was able to get me the p zeros in those sizes. But it seems it was a hassle and I had good lead time.

If you're concerned about wheel/fender gap, then get the 20s, and drop the car with an aftermarket suspension setup.

The 21s, aside being a pain to source tires, make the car look a bit disproportionately like a baja dune buggy.

21's or bust. I think it also depends on the wheel style. I had HRE P106's with techart springs and it just looked amazing. Also depends on where you live.

May not matter based on your location and where you are located, but I heard all season tires tough to get for 21s as well.

I pulled the trigger on the 21's - going with HRE P101's in Brushed Dark Clear. The fronts (255/30ZR21) are the set that have been the most difficult to get due to back orders. Planning to keep the stock set in case there is ever a delay in getting replacements so I have a plan B. Both 20's and 21's look great, but I like the wider 325's available in the 21" set up.

has anyone stepped up to a 345 in rear with 21" wheels? I have 12.5 rear width wheel and 325 x 25 x21 and has a little bit of stretch going on and it feels like rear end is loose ( or not planted as it was with OEM sizes ) was thinking maybe its the stretch causing it? and maybe moving up to a 345x25x21

I have 21" HRE and ride just fine. I'm not sure 345 would work because of the offset in size between front and rear. Fitment wise I think it would work, but I think it may cause issues being too tall.

I'm going to have it aligned to see if that helps. and i believe the front are like 27.1 tall ( 255x30x21) and rear are 27.4 ( 325x25x21 ) and the ( 345x25x21) would be 27.8 tall...... would the 27.1 to the 27.8 be too much difference for the AWD ?

Delta between those sizes front to rear is 2.5% or so....likely OK but perhaps someone else with more experience will chime in.

I would like to run the 345 as well and while only 2.5% more than the 325, it is more than that to the stock tire which is 27.2" compared to 27.4 compared to 27.8". So does going from 27.2" to 27.8" enough to freak out the AWD system, traction, or handling systems. I know on my vette it was very sensitive to this stuff, and had to stay within a few percent.
