FWIW, I took a closer look at the BBS spec sheet, and realized they have two 11.5x20 F1-R wheels for 991. One is centerlock and the other is 5 bolt. The offset differences may be because of the differences in mounting. The BBS chart shows the 54mm ET offset for the 991 turbo, but it's shown as "ZV" (p/n 10.01.8859 silver) for centerlocks. The five bolt application has a 46mm ET offset and p/n for silver wheel is 10.01.5788. So, I think TireRack is NOT "wrong" for specifying the 46mm offset for five bolt wheel hubs. They fit my five bolt hub car and from others' pics, the centerlocks' 54mm offset also look likes its the proper offset for cars with centerlocks. JSA, do you have CLs or 5 bolts?

I’m not happy with the result of the ET44 on the rear. The wheels are noticibly further out and wider. And the rear has more grip now which changes the balance that Porsche designed in the car.

As you correctly pointed out before, the 12 x 20 ET44 are meant for the GT3 and not for the Turbo. Correct is 11.5 x 20 ET54. It is especially problematic because the front track is close to stock (minus 1mm), but because of the 1/2 inch wider rim (12" vs 11.5") in the rear, it sticks out an extra 18.3 mm (56mm - 44mm + {1/4 inch =} 6.3 mm). That is too much of a difference between the two axles and creates an imbalance when driven hard.
No difference for cruisers and posers. They are just fine with the GT3 rear wheels.

We are able to order the 20 x 11.5 et54 if you are interested. I have checked stock and both colors are available currently.

Please let me know if we can assist

Thank you!

Can someone please add some light to this, BBS USA just sent me this note, thank you
Hello, The GT3 centerlock wheels are not ideal for the Turbo S. The Turbo S has a narrower & higher offset rear than the GT3 but has a lower offset front. Basically, the rear GT3 wheels will be pretty aggressive (they are outside the fender) and the front is kinda weak…

Presently, there is no plan to offer a unique Turbo S fitment.

We have spoken to BBS USA and showed them the 20 x 11.5 CL part number and got the green light to order them. We have already sold a set and are now taking orders on more.

TURBO/TURBO S Centerlock fitment we are now offering:

BBS FI-R 20 x 9.0 et52

BBS FI-R 20 x 11.5 et54

I had the same issue and looked on BBS' German web site and found this: https://bbs.com/pdfs/gutachten/FIR.pdf. It clearly states that the Turbo/Turbo S need 11.5 x 20 ET54 and not 12 x 20 ET44, which is for the GT3. I did not like the increase in track width in the rear while leaving the front basically at stock. In my opinion that changes the balance of the Turbo. By the way, the front offset is only 1 mm difference (smaller than stock). Obviously this is negligible.

Long story, when I pointed it out to Eric at Supreme Power last week, he was surprised and also miffed that he did not know this. Apparently BBS North America's employees either do not know what they are doing or want to keep things simple by only offering the GT3 wheels (also for the Turbo). It is not correct that their dealers are offering the wrong wheels for the Turbo. Perhaps BBS feels that US drivers won't notice the difference.
Eric did a great job and ordered the correct wheels in Germany (with BBS). So I am now the first Turbo owner in the USA with the correct FI-R setup. I am sure he will be happy to help you out as well.
