I grabbed one in May and quickly thereafter my dealer told me they were al gone and a lot of trading among dealers for what was left. Delivery late February as PTS.

There is a 'shortage' of 2017s to have significant discount. cars.com shows around 90 (+/-10) of TT and TTS for all USA. It's a small number and it will keep demand high.

Just for comparison I look at AMG GT and cars.com shows 250 ( ! ) available.

Wonder how many will be allocated for Canada?

I received ~4.5% plus a decent trade valuation on my 991.1 Turbo Cab for my allocated 991.2 Turbo S Cab custom order.
Not great, but not bad either.

So what didn't you like about your 991.1 that you're replacing it with a 991.2? I'm curious because I see a huge difference between the 991.1 and 991.1 Carreras but not so much with the TTs.

I loved everything about my TT. After 3 seasons of enjoyment I had the opportunity to hit the "refresh" button and move to a Turbo S custom build.

Adding 60 HP will be icing on the cake.

When did you order and what's the expected build/delivery? I'm planning to pull the trigger soon.

I built and submitted an order end of Oct, but an allocation wasn't found until Dec. 2
The build is scheduled for mid Feb and delivery is mid Apr.

Congrats and good luck in the process!

That's a very quick timeline. Congrats. I am thinking about doing a Euro delivery, so will target late spring early summer for the build to finish. Hopefully allocations will not be an issue then.

I'm certainly not holding my breath on the timeline, it's just what I've been told.

Though we discussed it, ED would have pushed mine back until summer which was unacceptable given I've already turned in my '14 Turbo Cab. (long COLD winter up here)

Today's weather not Porsche friendly :

What we’ve got here is failure to fraction.

With about 10,000 US 911’s per year, 25 percent means about 2,500 turbos sold per year. So the three year number will be 7,500 turbos sold and not 11,000.

If you read it more closely you'll see it was intentional. The usual number I've heard stated and the quotation I provided say 25% of all 991s sold, which implies 25% of the ~45k figure rather than 25% of the 30k over 14-16. I don't have any data so I ran the number that way.

I agree that the result was hard to believe so to me it implies the numbers aren't that way, and 2500 per year for 7500 seems more reasonable. Do you know where any data can be found?

Built to my speced.... 2017 991.2 TS cpe blk-blk..No CL, think there a pita..,ordered 1st wk Jan 16...received on 4-15-16.....its a semi dd.The ccb are somewhat a pita too..to properly burnish,the
pads & rotors...on the other hand..street use ,they last longer then steel....& don't produce to much pad dust.

Bottom line, overall..the 991.2 TS....is a great car.....as a DD...my previous P-car was a 991.1 T,blk-blk...cpe...few less horses.& cost less..depending how optioned.....then the TS...but still a great dd...
too.........................
.02 cents worth...........................Happy holidays.......drive safe.....

Auf Wiedersehen....................Nache
