I like orange too - had a Daytona Sunset Orange Z06 - but I have to say that Inferno Orange is neither saner not prettier than the name suggests. It is one of the very few colors that actually accurately describes what it looks like. Picture an inferno. Yup. that's exactly what color that car is. BTW, thought seriously about buying a Grand Sport that color.

As far as "Daytona Sunset Orange" is concerned I always thought that it was a stupid name as the sun RISES on Daytona Beach...

Back to Porsche, I saw a Carmine Red TTS at Atlanta's Porsche Experience Center. Absolutely stunning. Didn't want to order a new one but for as rare as that color is, I might just have to.

I had a PTS Meissen Blue 997.2 TT (https://rennlist.com/forums/997-foru...997-a-149.html post #2232) but I sold it, as it was a little too conspicuous for me as a DD.

It's Slate Gray (non-metallic). Historically paint code 6601, now 615.

Ask me how I know....

Default Slate grey

Hionbusa slate grey and ginnmillracing slate grey look like different colors. Could be variances of digital reproduction and or lighting. I am curious about the Hionbusa grey because it looks like it could be metallic? Which would not be the same as McQueen Slate Grey.
Ask me how I know?

Hionbusa's post and my post are the same car. His post is pre-mods. Lighting definitely makes a difference.

The Slate Grey 1984 930 above is mine. Similar in appearance to the McQueen 930.
