yes it was a great time, and really looking forward to tracking it more.. just want to prep the car right so that these components last and don't prematurely wear out. Its encouraging to hear your experience with PCCB's as well, i was about to swap for steel rotors until i heard how yours are holding up. Im thinking new pads, fluids, and alignment in my near future.

You could try these. I installed these a couple days ago to replace the CCB's for my own piece of mind






I added Race Technologies RE10 pads to go with them. I have almost this exact same setup on my Supra and it's the best braking car I've ever driven...about the only good thing it does on a track

Great thread. How are the pagid psc1 on the street? Do they squeal a lot?

I have been just using stock pads, get about four days per set of fronts. Back hardly used.

Default Camber & Sways

I'm hearing camber plates are needed up front to really get tires working right such as Cup 2s. Our local shop has mentioned -2.5 needed for proper tire temps and wear. Anyone using plates and that much camber for an OEM car with C2s ?

Looks like a sway bar solution here, anyone tried em ?

On track, they do have a little squeal after a hard session on gentle corner braking, but settle back down quickly in the paddock...until the next session. OEM pads on track do have better initial bite, but begin to fade a tad by the end of the day compared to the PSC1. PSC1 bite more evenly and slightly less initially, but remain more consistent.

The day after a track event, the RSC1 squeal less than the OEM the day after an event, but a couple of days of street driving clears that right up, and they do not squeal at all. Remember these are the OEM pad for the GT3/GT4/GT3 RS/918, so they see plenty of street duty, too. The OEM pads don't seem to stop squealing after a track day.

Hey nolimits. Getting to -2.0 camber would undoubtedly help the front a little bit but trailbraking is so good, yaw rate is extremely communicative, that it's easy to drive around the relative lack of front camber..PDCC does a great job of keeping the car flat as well so I don't know how effective bars would be. It's never crossed my mind.. The CCB's were always on my mind and wearing through 30-35% of their life in less than a year gave me all the reason to change to iron rotors.I believe that to be the one sort of catastrophic cost associated with tracking a 991 Turbo...hope this helps

Thanks, glad to hear you've got combo you like. I think I'm going with the PSC1's initially (easy on CCBs), some bars I have in mind, camber plates, Cup 2s, and a valved catback exhaust or Sharkwerks. Bars have such an impact on transient response and turn-in that I gotta have em. Camber is key to full tire width use, temps, and wear so I want to make sure it's optimized. This should get me where I want and still maintain the street ride when needed. Looking forward to next season, now just have to wait !

I'd double check those bars. I tried some regular 991 bars and they would not fit my 991 TTS. Please let us know if they fit, and if you find a camber plate. The biggest drawback - the only drawback - to the Turbos is the lack of aftermarket options.
