Default Impressions on new PZero 4

Has anyone compared these to the Michelin Pilot Super Sports? My understanding is the Pzero 4's are on the 17 Turbo and Turbo S, can anyone who has a 17 provide some feedback? Thanks in advance.

The P Zeros feel very similar to the Super Sports. If there is any difference, I can't feel it. I've been happy with both.

Both N0 and N1 versions of the Pzero have better braking stabiity than the Michelin SS in my experience, on a track that is. They also recover better while the Super Sports seem to continue to feel 'greasy' for much longer after threshold braking and going through a turn. And in my opinion, on street comfort is better in the Michelins because they don't make as much noise and they have a softer sidewall. So it seems the new version of the PZero on the 991.2 Turbo would be even better than that. Pick your poison I guess

Completely disagree on N0 and N1.

I am trying to find a good "street" tire with a comfortable, quiet, ride and good grip. Trying to decide between the Pilot Super Sport and the new PZ4. Neither seem to have a Porsche specific fitment available now. My plan is to get a set of rims with Pilot Sport Cup 2s for spirited dry weather driving.

Does anyone know if the PZero 4s are also fitted to the "regular" 911s? (Base, S, 4 and 4s) ?

Thanks

Are N-rated Michelin Pilot Super Sport's ever going to be available on TireRack's website or anywhere else that I can place an online order? They seem to be permanently unavailable.

Right now they only make N-rated in Panamera sizes.

If I was you I would buy K-rated (Ferrari) PSS. In the Panamera sizes the K rated is better than the N rated. K rated PSS are also available in our sizes for the TTS.

Why are they better?

I'll try the K-rated Michelins next spring if I can't find N-rated tires by then. I thought the new 997.2's came with N-rated Michelins though. The temperature here is dipping down into the 50's and low 60's and it turns out the stock Pirellis on my turbo can't handle full throttle at these temps with the traction control kicking in. I'm hoping the Michelins are stickier.

new pzeros have got to have ALOT of new online kudos from trusted members of this board before i give them the time of day again

pzero's of 1-2-3 years ago were truly truly grim... a pale facsimile of a premium performance tire... good for 2-4k miles, then hard as bricks, no compliance at all... horrible... a joke of premium tire

You forgot to mention: rediculously cold-blooded.

Based on the tire rack test, the new P Zeros are a huge improvement over the last iteration, but still only a match to PSS at best. I'd be happy wth the new Pzeros if I a car with them but would buy a set of non-N MPSS if I were buying new tires now. Also, MPSS are brilliant in low temps. I tracked them in near freezing temps with good results (not recommending them at near-freezing temps anyway)
