I'm with you - a very foggy outcome when one race Lambo walks Porsche, then next race they both sit neck and neck, and then the next, Porsche walks Lambo?? Like not sure what the point here is..?? Looks like they were both giving one another a turn at winning.

Maybe they should just both line up from a dig, give it their best shot and be done with it. That way they/we will have an outcome to look at. At the moment we've got nothing. Fwiw I've run one from a roll to 230 and there isn't anything between them worth mentioning...pretty even competition. Maybe from a dig the Porsche (may) come off marginally better.

Sorry, I was the guy driving the Huracan (not my car, just lent for purposes of this test).

there are 3 races. First one from rolling 2nd gear and the Lambo pulls away at higher speed.

Second race from 1st gear, but I hit the rev limiter 2x (don't know why these new Italian cars don't go all the way to redline. The 488, Aventador and Aventador SV all bump off the limiter before the indicated redline inconsistently if you go WOT; this never happens in say a Porsche or Mclaren). So my buddy's Turbo pulled away cleanly.

I definitely was not letting him win.

third race I shifted at about 7k RPM or just a tad over to avoid the limiter and was able to nose ahead.

the point is that the Huracan IS faster, but not a whole lot faster. We VBox'd both cars and Lambo's 60-130 was only 0.3 seconds quicker. By contrast, the 488 and 650S are both OVER a full second quicker than the Huracan, and when we've done similar races between an MP4-12C and the Turbo, the Porsche didn't know which way the Mclaren went.

Conclusions I'm drawing are: 1) n/a motor still the most "emotive" by far but for pure grunt, truly gives way to modern turbos; 2) Huracan is not in the same league as it's peers (488 & 650S in terms of straight line speed at least); 3) Porsche still awesome bang for buck (easy to tune the TTS with a flash and bolt ons). Huracan is a sexy beast and i was surprised at how easy it is to drive both at speed and puttering around town. but that price delta from the P-car is huge!!!
