Needed to share...
I have a 2017 turbo S on order since Feb and it is now at the dealer and the planned pickup day is tomorrow. At 6 pm today the dealer calls me up and says "I have bad news for you... you know the yellow deviated stitching you ordered... well it is missing from the car...".
You can imagine how I felt when I heard this after such a long long wait. The car is agate grey w/black interior... I am really thinking of just not picking the car up and forget this idea of getting a new turbo S.
Am I being childish? Any thoughts?
I am really upset. Thank you for the space to share...

Sorry for you. Does it have any other yellow inside, Belts matt trim? If yes, it will look good. If not, they can be easily added. It's up to you. Maybe another dealer has an car in stock that will be more acceptable or better. Or, your dealer will make a significant price concession, that will allow you to to do some nice after market additions. Good luck. Best, Allan

Walk. Its not what you want and it will always annoy you no matter the concession or price. Thats not what ordering a car like this is about and not why you go through the time and effort to order it the way you wanted it.
You are in no way being childish. Just someone who wants what they want the way they want it!
Sorry man that sucks.

It may be a blessing in disguise. Yellow or light color stitching on the dash can cause very distracting reflections in the windshield. I suggest going and looking at the car in the sunlight and deciding if it's OK by you. No one else matters. If you want to take delivery after that, by all means get some concessions.

That sucks, man. I can imagine how you feel; super pissed, but then also embarrassed for being pissed at such a seemingly petty thing. And no-one but another car nut can possibly understand how you feel.
I totally get it. I'd walk.

Agree with others, that likely it was dealers mistake -- try to get a price concession. Also, take a look at the vehicle -- sit in it to get a feel for it -- you may like it. Also, what are your alternatives? Based upon what I read here, there are no slots for quite some time.

A possible concession could be that the dealer special order the seats with the correct stitching from Porsche (and any other interior piece that can be changed without major surgery) which can be swapped out at a later date…..at their cost! Very disappointing...Good Luck
