Default My Build, Seeking Board Input

Guys,

My dealer finally seems to have an allocation and is going to finalize the order for a September build. Here is what I have right now and am looking for input from you guys on whether I am missing anything critical or if I should change something. In addition, two other questions, is Burmester worth the cost and will it be a positive from a resale value perspective? Also, I am contemplating trying PTS Voodoo Blue. I like both Voodoo and Miami and can easily live with both, but do you guys think a PTS might enhance the resale value when it comes time to sell in a couple of years?

XSC Porsche Crest on Headrests Exclusive $285
Interior Aluminum X70 Door-Sill Guards in Stainless Steel $375

Final question, which I know might be comparing apples to oranges, would you choose a TTS or a Huracan for occasional semi-daily driving in a city like Chicago?

Thanks in advance for your inputs.

!. Definitly Voodoo
2. Nice spec
3. You will NOT like daily driving a Lambo in a city like Chicago but, the TTS will be fine
4. Good Luck

I think front axle lift might be unnecessary unless you already know you have some steep inclines to traverse. I DD mine and the absence isn't a problem.

No Porsche option except the fire extinguisher is 'worth' the money. Burmester is - to my ears - much better than Bose.

No way would I do a Huracan over the TTS for DD and in Chicago (used to live there). Lets get that out of the way.

Yes I would do Voodoo. This is a solid spec. I like that mine has no moonroof. Much tighter. You choice and yes I think Burmeister is worth it. I did exclude cars that did not have it in my search FWIW.

Get the Burmester.

Yes, it's a bit pricey but leaving it off your build is sort of like forgoing surgeon's cuffs on a tailored custom Brioni suit.

No lift system needed
Pick your preferred color, resale market for each will be 50/50 split anyway
No need for upgraded sound, negligible impact in cabin
CF instead of aluminum for sills (looks WAY better, I just took delivery and compared)
Delete luggage net. Looks ghetto and you don't care what your passenger is holding in their lap
Your seatbelt are the ****!
Add stitching to steering wheel. I didn't do this and WISH I DID!!!

Vodoo. Burmeister. No exterior door logo. Do the white dial rather than red on a blue car. Lift is not needed IMO....no Lamborghini DD ugh...I had one and Hated it. The new 488 could be used as a DD if you can get your hands on one?

Not to hi-jack, but I have a Bordeaux/Black interior on the way. Is it possible to get deviated (bordeaux) stitching on the steering wheel? I have not seen this done, nor seen anything on the configurator.

Thanks everyone, I really appreciate the time and the really solid input.

RCorsa, I would love to get the 488 but not having owned one of those for more than 10 years will make it tough for me to get my hands on one without having to pay a huge premium. Hopefully in 2 years when it is time to sell the Turbo S.

JHBturbo, I am imagining that steering wheel stitching will require a code by the dealer since I dd not see it on the online configurator?

Thanks again everyone!

Yes, I was told by someone who has the hardcopy 911 options book that this is in there but not on the online configurator.

In previous years there was a steering wheel code CLU for contrasted steering wheel stitching:

I have the hard copy brochure. I just looked; I need someone to tell me what page, as I've gone page by page and can't find it. Thanks.

My dealer contacted me back on the deviating thread on the steering wheel request. He said he sent it to "special wishes" @ Porsche, and is awaiting a response. I didn't know there was a department at Porsche called "special wishes"...

Great build. Burmester highly recommended. Do not even think about wearing jeans with that interior.
