Auto Start/Stop

I just talked to the dealer this a.m. They are going to research (which already doesn't instill confidence), but they don't think they can turn it off... I don't think this is going to end well, unfortunately.

I believe it is federal regulation beginning in 2016 that it must be in activated position at startup. 2014 and 2015 remembers last setting, 2016 onward it will be on. Not aware of any dealer that has disabled on a 2016+

Nope, my '16 TTS and Macan Turbo both remember last setting...

You guys are funny. All the models will remember the setting unless the default is reversed. But being able to do that needs a little thought and effort and maybe your dealer isn't up that or just doesn't want to mess with what the factory supplied. No other reason really. Glad I don't have these issues.

I would like to know how the dealer disables it, as my dealer in Colorado states they can't do it. Just bought a 2017 TTS and same thing, defaults to on with every startup, as well as my 16 cayenne TTS. My 14 TTS remembered last setting. Love to know how to do it, someone should find out what line on the Porsche computer is changed to disable.

I would as well. At this point, they are looking at me "like a calf looking at a new gate"... (For those of you above the Mason-Dixon, or otherwise "urban", this means that they are confused or scratching their heads trying to figure if it can be done...

I've personally driven a 17 demo with it done. Both my cars have it done. From what I'm reading here some dealers evidently don't care to mess about with it so long as they get their sales numbers why bother themselves....the product is just a means....leave it as it is. Best find a dealer more in tune with their own products and client expectations and you won't need to stress yourselves out over this non issue.
