found a deserted road. Tried launch control. It actually made me a little sick/dizzy/motion sick from the G's. Anyone else experience this feeling???? Don't think I need to ever do that again.

I haven't looked at the manual yet cause I don't have enough miles on her to try it ...
Is it put it in Sport +, press the brake, rev up to 5000 rpm, and let go the brake while flooring the accelerator?

sport+, push the brake really hard and hold. Give it full throttle until the launch light comes on which is like .5 sec and let the brake go.
Have fun.

Something against common sense about flooring your car when you have the brake on?

The car is smart enough to keep the clutch disengaged until you let your foot off the brake.

Our cars have been designed and built to do this, while some owners are not.

If I recall someone posted doing LC with FIL and caused a trip to hospital. Probably hard to adequately prepare a passenger for what's about to happen.

I've done endurance racing in fast race cars without an ounce of nausea, but I can only do LC once or twice before the dizziness sets in. I don't know what it is, but I also get really car sick very easily if my attention isn't 100% outside the car.
