After Market Wheels
Have a 15 911 Turbo. The factory wheels are nice but I have been thinking about some after market wheels. Looking for a full set of black center wheels with deep dish chrome rims. Just like that look on a car. Any ideas on what is available? Anyone with pictures of their wheels? Thanks

That may be tough if you have the PCCBs, less so if you dont.
HRE makes the Classic series, which looks more like a CCW... something you'd see on a race track in the 1990-2005 era. You won't see much of that around at all, but if it can be done, HRE could let you know. I don't think CCW has done many (or any) 991s. |
I remember when I was into the Infiniti G35s the iForged brand was popular. They catered to that multi-piece deep dish chrome lip look.

Finnspeed F5s. Very happy with them. The stock TT wheels are just horrible to clean.

nice!

Somewhat unrelated, but regarding wheels; does anyone make a centerlock fuchs style wheel? I've been praying for those but have yet to see them. Would be nice to have a place build something very similar for those of us without the 5 lug.

I specially ordered a 5-lug setup with the hope to purchase something Fuchs like. |
HREs or BBSs are the gold standard in aftermarket wheels. I have a set of HRE RS101s on my 2015 E63 S and they look as new as when they came out of the box.
I have ADV1s on my 991 TTS -- top of the line ADV005 track spec, competition spec wheels with titanium fasteners. The wheels are gorgeous -- a far more interesting design than anything I have seen from HRE. BUT my experience with ADV1 wheels has been less than stellar. 1. The polished lips became terribly spotted within less than a year and in less than 10k miles of use. My HREs go to the same car wash which does not use acid based stuff to clean wheels did not become spotted. This required me to have them repolished and reclearcoated. Totally unacceptable for top of the line wheels less than a year old. 2. When they arrived the wheels were too thin at the point of TPMS sensor/valve stem insertion. My mod shop (Detailing Dynamics) had to put in brackets to make the TPMS sensors fit snugly. My HREs fit my AMG TMPS sensors on my E63 S like a glove. 3. Very shortly after I put down a 50% deposit on the ADV1 wheels and before they were manufactured, I changed the order on my ADV1 wheels from E63 S to my 991 Turbo S. ADV1 wheels charged me a $1,000 change fee even though the wheels had not been made at all. They claimed that that was to compensate them from re-engineering the wheels. The fee was outrageously high and greedy given that production had not begun on them. And what engineering? The wheels didn't freaking fit my Porsche TPMS requiring me to jury fit brackets. Nice "engineering". I love the way my ADV1s look. They get huge attention at races and car shows. They have been strong in terms of resistance to bump impact (I stuck with OEM sizes and did not go big in size). ADV1 has a reputation for brilliant design and marketing but poor manufacturing quality. Now I see why. I understand that ADV1 recently moved its manufacturing in house (just like HRE does). Perhaps this will fix some of the issues. I hope so because their designs are brilliant. |

Just to throw in my 2 cents as well the S101 or S107 would be my personal choice.
