Used 991.1 Turbo vs 991.2 C2S
Used 991 Turbo's are selling in the neighborhood of a new 991.2 C2S (or perhaps more appropriately C4S) with a few options. To me the big advantage of the .2 is the extra low rpm torque which provides more accessible power which I can get and then some buying a barely used 991.1 Turbo. I realize the .2's have a new motor and a bit more modern technology in the cockpit but the used Turbo looks like a pretty good value. Granted this is the Turbo forum, am I overlooking any significant advantages of the newer car ?

That's what I was hoping ! Daily Driver type gocha's with 991TT's ? I looked briefly at 997TT's and seemingly the only thing was more frequent tire changes, radiator turbo lift replacements, and fairly expensive sparkplug replacements. I ultimately went towards 991's because of the polish of the 991 (for lack of a better word) that it was just an easier to live with daily driver.
How do 991TT's compare maintenance wise ? (I suppose to either regular 991's or 997TT's)

Personally, it would be tough for me to to pick a 991.2 C2S / C4S over a 991.1 Turbo. From a value standpoint, the TT starts out at a higher price point and the first year or two depreciation has been taken by the original owner. In most cases, the used TT will be in "like new" condition or better yet CPO.
Performance wise, I think even the average driver will notice the power difference between the two.
I myself see a tougher choice between choosing a 991.1 50th or 991.1 GTS vs a 991.1 Turbo. I'd rather have the 'real' 911 Turbo vs a 991.2 Carrera with a turbo engine.
My worthless $0.02

I agree with all the above comments (.1TT > .2) As far as maintenance is concerned, the .1TT is more involved than .1 NA. But since the .2 is TT and in a smaller space it seems reasonable to assume that the .2 will be about the same as the .1TT in terms of maintenance complications.

I had a 997.1 Turbo and a 991C2S at the same time. IMO the C2S was a much better car. Handled better. sounded better, NA engine was more fun, etc. I soon sold the turbo.

991.1 TTS unless the PCM is a priority for you. Agree with other comments that favor the TTS. It really is in another dimension from any Carrera and at the same price is perhaps the best value among all cars. The TTS outperforms just about everything you are likely to encounter on the track or road and can be easily modified to dominate cars costing much more. Nice dilemma in any event and good luck with your choice.
