Rear grille too hot to touch
Not this hot on my prior 2013 991C2S.
I don't hear the fans (quickly after the car is off ) come on like they used to in previous car, although it was sporadic they'd come on. MFD temps all normal. The grille is very HOT!
Experience?
EDIT...
Removed the cover over the fans & both fan wires are attached. FWIW it's possible to forget to reattach
after doing a filter change.

Never noticed the vent being real hot. Let me check mine out and i'll come back to you on that. I will say the fans basically never kick in unless the car has seen some sustained hard running and then parked in the sun on a relatively hot day.
However, the 997 fans would usually always kick in at one point after shutdown even after regular non sporty type driving....the 991 not.

Mine did the really hot grill when it was new for a little while. It hasn't done it since (now at 3.5K mi). Haven't seen the fog thing happen but I haven't really been looking at it after I get out and go indoors.

What fog are you talking about? I don't see any in your picture?
Fans: what speed21 wrote. Mine rarely come on.
My rear grill gets warm maybe even hot. Hard to say what 'hot' means. I've not tried to fry my hand like an egg but I suspect that the grill would be uncomfortably hot.
The real test would be to shoot our grills with an IR thermometer and compare. Sadly, I can't participate in this experiment until Spring.
