I would assume you cannot change them out. Last I saw in the GT3 forum, people were unable to change their 991.1 GT3 to have the updated steering wheel from the new RS. Different control module or something like that.

I can't see it being changeable either, certainly not with that new toggle arrangement which activates the suspension and tune settings.

Tease! I was pouring through the links looking for an exhaust sound clip until I realized you probably meant it 'sounds' good from the press releases

Sorry for the noob question, but does this mean that I can configure a new 991.2 TTS and have it delivered in May in the USA?

Just checked..made a slight error. Released May here. I'd check with your dealer. I wouldn't be at all surprised that if you ordered one now you would get it even earlier as you guys normally get them well before us.

I do think they should have made the S 600hp plus to keep up with the Huracan and McLaren but I guess Porsche could be saving the 4.0 liter engine for the 992 model.

I am planning to order mine in approx 6 months to 1 year once the 991.2 turbo starts getting aggressive discounts.

Yes we expected the 4.0 engine, but I guess they left that till the next generation.

What I want for my 991 turbo is the following:
1) the rear grill
2) the Apple Play PCM
3) the 918 steering wheel

I'll be looking forward to fit the above on mine.

As for the Huracan, my friend's 991 turbo raced it in a straight line from rolling starts and from launch control, the Porsche won every single time.

I raced the 488 from launch control, from zero and from 30 km/hr to 200 km/hr. I won every single time.

So far there's no threat for our turbos down the street till the next generation.

I am surprised the Turbo S beat a Huracan was it pretty close?

The steering wheel and apple car play probably won't be able to get retro fitted on the 991.1 models imo.

I think the only part that will probably be a straight swap will be the rear grills.

The Huracan was one car behind the turbo.

One car length sounds about right. For stock.

Once you throw a tune onto your 991 turbo or Turbo S it becomes bus lengths:

Only a 20 BHP bump in power... "Only". I think that is on the conservative end more so if Porsche wants to keep up with the 488. But then again Porsche with their engineering has time and time again proven that they don't need a ton of power to beat their competitor's.

Guess they are waiting on the next Gen to bring power up to 600BHP.

Also there has to be a point when a company says "Enough". There is a point of diminishing returns moreso if your car isn't properly designed to handle the power.

And again Porsche's Transaxle doesn't loose the power through putting all that BHP to the ground compared to other companies. But that is a discussion for another Post.

Damn, guess I'll have to trade in my 2016 just to get the new wheel and a few extra HP
