Default PCM swap with Apple Play

Now that the 991.2 Carrera is out, does anybody know:
1) can 991.1 owners swap the current PCM with the new PCM featuring Apple Play?
2) when will the Apple Play PCM be available at the dealers for the swap?

Thank you in advance.

I sure hope so! This is on my list right after intercoolers and a COBB tune.

Would be interested as well but, to be honest, I'm really enjoying simply having an iPad Air mounted via a joy factory carbon fiber seat bolt mount. Tremendous usability and convenience and allows me the ability to use the PCM screen for other things like showing trip data, etc.

This was a CDR replacement, but same scenario is possible with PCM. Of course this is aftermarket and not new PCM.

This looks great!

Do you still get the car features like the car info (mpg, trip, etc) or do you lose all that?

Unfortunately you do lose those features. Although this was CDR, not PCM, and I'm not certain you get the car info on CDR. The main reason we replaced the system was the CDR doesn't support the NavTV camera module and we wanted to set up front and rear cameras.

Just got word from the service advisor that the swap won't work. I hope someone proves him wrong...
