Turbo noise
I just picked up a TT, since day one about 90 miles. Under low acceleration/throttle right when the turbos begin to spool they sound like there making a rattle or keychain noise. Only comes in about 2k rpm and upwards to 3500. However on full throttle you won't hear the noise, you hear the engine and exhaust louder. Maybe this is the sound due the them being Variable turbochargers? I will try to get a video, I went to the dealer they said it was normal. You hear it louder when the sound bounces back off other cars driving down a quiet street. Low throttle 2-3k rams 20mph etc. Also when doing videos for the spool noise. I notice a noise from the diverter valves after you release the throttle like a ping. The click is my quickly getting off pedal. The ping is faint but its there..

They should not rattle. I would call your dealer and have him address this with their tech. See what he says.

Let me know what you find out... I don't hear it in your videos but I have a rattley sound at low RPMs when I lift off that the dealer has called normal.

I said it in another thread. This is the boost pressure being release. Also called a pop off valve. Sounds like a keychain/spring.

I would give it some time and see if it goes away. On my 993 tt I replaced the bypass valves with new OEM and they made noise all the time. 1-2k miles later it's almost unnoticeable.
