"Paddle Neutral"

"Paddle Neutral"
Was reading an article in Automobile Magazine (Oct) regarding the 911 GT3 RS, and it referred to a feature called "Paddle Neutral" via PDK, whereby you pull both paddles simultaniously.
Sounds like both clutches open, interurupting the torque flow from the engine to the transmission. You then release both paddles; sounds like you can do it while moving, versus "Launch Control" from a standstill.
Anyone have more details, and can you do it on a 991 TTS?

Yes. Even on a low-power non-S Turbo. And on the 981 too.

I have never been able to get mine to do it (15 991 Turbo) but my Carrera S would do it. I was curious if the Turbo cars do not have this feature.

I do it 50 times a day. Does your '15 TT have the Sport Chrono package?

I drive the TT exactly like I drive a manual. Stop at a light: in neutral. Coasting, for whatever reason: in neutral. Stop-and-go rolling morning traffic, etc. Call me weird or whatever, but that's the way I roll.
Curiouser and curiouser. You have the sport steering wheel with paddles? Or the multi-function wheel with the up/down switches?
In mine, regardless of mode (Sport, +, M, or D) pulling back both paddles always gets me to neutral. What I just discovered is that from neutral, at a stop, pulling either paddle will select first gear.
Edit: wait, never mind. Your original post indicates that you do have the sport wheel.
Maybe there's a slight mis-communication: Do you expect the transaxle to remain in neutral while the paddles are held back and to then re-select a gear when released?

So last night the only way I can get it to do it is the following:
Pull both paddles three times quickly (from stop or cruising). From a stop either paddle puts you back in first. From a roll press + to go back to original gear prior to pulling paddles, press - to drop a gear.

Super-strange. I was thinking about this thread this morning as I was paddling into neutral.
One simultaneous pull of both paddles works for me. Every time. I'll try it at higher speeds this afternoon.

This evening I played around with it. Under all circumstances if I pull and immediately release the paddles (think mouse click here) my TT always goes to neutral. If I pull and hold it does nothing. So, for the folks that can't make it work, my only thought is that you're not releasing the paddles. Or, you've got rogue PDK software.
Umm... because we can put it in neutral. And without moving our hands from the wheel. If that isn't sufficient how about this:

They are not the same.
In a 911 Carrera, pulling both peddle is like shifting the car into neutral.
In the GT3, pulling both peddle is like stepping on the clutch while the car is still in gear, you can rev the engine up and drop the clutch like a traditional manual car with a third clutch pedal.
