Default Another pricing thread?

Hello all, I have been shopping, and it appears that most dealers will give near 7% off msrp.
I have been looking at Turbo and Turbo S. Being that the 2016s are starting to arrive, should the discount on a 2015 be significantly different? In my shopping, I have found dealers willing to remove 7% on an ordered 2016, so my thought would be that a 2015 should have a larger discount than a ordered car?

Thoughts on this? I have seen some people post car prices with seeming larger discount percentages?

Is there a purchase strategy that I can use to obtain a better price? I generally pay outright for these type of purchases.

Thank you

Rich

I know a dealer who can do a lot
Better than that and have helped other members get Turbo S cars from that dealer. If interested PM me.

You should be able to get very close, if not more than/equal to 10% on leftover 2015's. I know I did before buying a CPO 14.

+1

With the right dealer more than 10 percent off MSRP for a Turbo S is possible.

Thank you all for your helpful replies. My thought too was the 15s are left overs and if I can get 7% on an 16, then 10% is reasonable to ask off from a 2015.

Thank you for firming my conviction.

From a motivated dealer you can do a lot better than 10 percent off.

High discount is possible if you don't care about colors and options and buy off the lot. My thoughts however when I ordered mine were if I'm going to spend $180K+ on a car I'm going to order exactly what I want and if the discount is less as a result, so be it. At least I purchased exactly what I wanted.

You can do better than 7% discount on and ordered car but yes the best discounts are those in dealer stock especially when the next year's cars start arriving. I took mine from dealer stock but it basically was the color and the options I wanted anyway.

Before I decided to go all-in and order Euro Delivery, I was seeing as much as 10% and that was way back in May (and before 2016 were hitting our shores) so I imagine that 10% or better can be found now.

I got 22.5k off on a 170k msrp car. However, this was on 9.30.15 and i had to purchase the car they had in their inventory. They were not willing to do the same deal for a dealer trade on the color i wanted. I think i may be able to swing a similar deal if you are ready to purchase and they happen to have the same car you want on their lot. Mine was for a 991tt and the dealer was located in SO. CAL. Currently they have a white and black 15' 991tt in inventory. Black MSRP 176k and White 170k. They also have an black 991tts for 193k and a silver regular turbo cab for 183k

I would advise waiting till the end of this month and call on the last day if you want to try to get a similar deal.
