991 Turbo Cool down?

Hi All,

Just swapped my 991S for a TT. Is there any cool down requirement like the older turbos? After a spirited drive where I really used boost, thought it was about 2 mins before shut off.

Thanks,

Ross

My favorite color! Congrats. If I drive hard, I cool mine down for a couple minutes or the last few miles. I think modern synthetic oils don't cook as readily as older fluids, but I don't really know what strategy Porsche uses to control flash overheating of the oil in the turbos after shut down, so I figure it can't hurt. If I'm just commuting or driving "normally," however, I just shut it down and don't give it a second thought.
