Meh I don't particularly like the S wheel's because they are center lock's and that limit's the possibilities of what wheel's can be used! I like the design but if they made them in five lugs it wouldn't be a problem.
Further both the S and non S wheel's don't shout out "Hey I am a Turbo wheel" like the older 997.1 and 997.2 Turbo Wheel's did. Both of the 991 wheel's look just like normal wheels. The S has the BBS Style going for it and the non S has the Double Spoke Theme. But neither of them say Turbo to me!

I like the stock S wheels and got a second set for winter tires. The black painted ones with the red rims look good. CL's rock and are not difficult to mount/dismount. If I were to make any change it might be to paint or powdercoat a set black but leave the outer rim polished.

Resurrecting this thread... It appears as though you could order the 991.1 with the Turbo S wheels painted gloss black. I'd really like my 991.2 Turbo S wheels that way from the factory. Certainly, I intend to find out from the dealer this week, but was curious if anyone on the forum can answer me now... There seems to be so many things that can be done when ordering a Porsche that arent detailed via the configurator...(I guess I should be happy that there are many options). Thanks.

I just placed a .2 order and was able to work with Porsche Exclusive to get mirrors painted black and some interior pieces covered in alcantara, but my dealer told me that the wheels would be powdered coated black locally after the car arrives. It seems that is a request that Porsche can't honor at the moment.

They work. They could be more exciting. I thought about painting mine black, but not worth it.
The reason the OEM sell for so much on Ebay is quality vs. most knock-offs. Not sure they are worth $6K, but certainly half that and if they have new rubber there is $2K right there.

I have had 5 or 6 TT's and all had steel rotors. I could never or so I thought justify the cost of the PCCB's. Last TT I had even had factory painted bolt ons with white wheels. I just got a TTS and will never not have them. I remember spending 15 minutes on each wheel cleaning them and that was just a trip around the block.

Love the Centerlocks on my Turbo S. I honestly think that most people that but aftermarket wheels do so because they are different - not better. I've bought many aftermarket wheels over the years before I realized this. The exception are serious track people who buy for weight savings.

After the hubbub regarding the CL's on the 997.2 GT3, I had one for five years, I'm inclined towards the sport classic wheels which look great IMO, 5 lugs do it for me.... I do like the the looks however of the turbo s wheels, very nice design!
