Dealer won't see it as a problem as he would already know you will struggle to find the opportunity to extract anywhere near the limit out of this car on the street. It has so much torque, power and acceleration, so taking it to the red is not necessary to prove any point...not that it would matter if you do. I would also refuse to drive this car in normal mode during the run in period...so to at least give the engine some chance of varied revs and load. In normal it will only chug around hunting the tallest gear and you really don't want that.

Getting some seat time in a hurry on it. It's fun to drive but my longest trip was up to Ennis and back in June for drag racing one Friday evening. That was 350 miles. Before that the longest trip was 215 miles back from buying it in Dallas last summer. The seat isn't as comfy for long trips as the one in the M5 was or the CTTS is. However, it's a good all around seat because it holds me in fine on the track and it's comfortable enough to sit in for two hours at a time. The most important seat feature at the track is the ventilation.

Interesting the dealer said drive it like you stole it right away--being a representative of the brand, I doubt PCNA would be very happy with that advice! I followed the owner's manual on this (pg 6) and kept it under 4200 rpm x 2000 miles. They also say to not lug the engine but in normal mode the car goes into 7th gear at 45 mph putting out 1200 rpm--that feels like lugging to me but I assume P has it figured out to not be harmful. I usually run in Sport mode anyway which cruises at closer to 2000.

Well, like many other vehicles, these things run on a Dyno at full pin for sometime before they exit the factory. The break in as I understand is more for the drivetrain than the rest of the engine in any case. I was not only told to drive it hard by the sales guys, but by the service guys as well, which truthfully, didn't surprise me.
