Which one's offer the closest ride comfort to the stock springs?

My only experience is with TechArt, which I believe are very close to stock. My buddy is a Porsche mechanic and he said the same thing. I've had them on for a couple of weeks now with no complaints or issues with ride quality.

If you are in SoCal you are welcome to come and drive our shop car, it had the TechArt springs in it. The shop car is a 991 Turbo.

We have tried both H&R and TechArt on the same 997 Turbo. At first we put the TechArt springs in and the customer was really happy with the ride but he wanted it a little lower so he ended up putting the H&R springs in which gave his car the ride height he was looking for. He liked the H&R's better because of the ride height but he says that the TechArt springs are a much better ride.

On our 991 TurboS the TechArt springs are pretty aggressive so the fitment is perfect with our wheels. We never tried them with stock wheels. We have 21" wheels on our car that we did at the same time as the TechArt springs.

I have never tried the GMG springs but I hear good things about them.

I have the H&R springs on my car and I find the ride to be quite good. It's almost imperceptible from stock however a higher spring rate is needed to keep the car from bottoming out. The H&R puts the car a few short hairs lower than a stock GT3 if that helps.

I heard it said that the US-bound cars get springs in the factory that leave the car riding higher than the springs fitted by the factory for the rest of the world. Is that true for the 991TT/TTS cars also does anyone know?? I guess I was just wondering if fitting RoW springs would be a good upgrade as an alternative to 3rd party ones.

You know that there is no need to change springs to lower your car. My body shop guy, Marnum collision in Marietta, ga adjusted the ride height of the suspension. I was always under the impression that springs were the answer and that is direction I took on previous cars, however always resulted in a compromised ride quality. They adjusted my turbo 1.1" with no sacrifice to original ride.

I looked under the car and I have no idea how that would work. I've had other cars with adjustable ride height and this has none of those adjustments that I cant find.

Anyone else have success lowering the car on stock springs?

Just had the Techart springs installed.....

Very nice, honestly can't tell the difference from stock springs ( just a little lower )
My Porsche tech said the exact same thing, he can't feel any difference.

Be great to see some shots Scar. The white one shown earlier looks too dropped on the rear imo... Appreciate some feedback in a month or so how the front has fared...

Haven't done any 'normal' pics yet, but have this shot on my work PC.

It's been a few weeks now, and very happy with the Techart. Ride quality is as good as stock, but the stance IMO is fantastic. My Porsche techs own comments were along the lines of "this is how they should look"
