One of our customers received their new 991 turbo S exhaust Friday and installed it at home in less than 2 hours without a lift. No bumper removal is required. The attached photo is from the Sharkwerks website to give you an idea of what it looks like installed.

I'd question the statement: No bumper removal is required

Mine certainly had to be removed to install a SharkWerks exhaust, there was no way the stock muffler would come out even with lowering the engine.

It's not a big deal, but bumper removal was required to install SharkWerks on my 991 TT.

I removed my bumper to get GMG on as well. It was easier and allowed me good access to all parts for removal. However, SW does state that bumper removal is not necessary.

Yes, and despite speaking with both Alex Ross and James Hendry on the phone while I was installing mine, no amount of persuasion applied to the stock exhaust would allow it to come out with the bumper left on.

But that said, bumper removal is no big deal!

It's easier to remove the bumper. We installed the first few we did here without doing so, but it actually takes less time to just remove it

Since nobody has really mentioned it, I have the Sharkwerks exhaust on my 991 Turbo S and it really makes a world of difference with the visceral feel of the car. The stock exhaust on this particular model is just about the quietest that Porsche makes, even less rumbling than a Boxster. The new exhaust went right in, and is the perfect balance of rumble without droning. The factory tips fit great, although on my car, they stick out about an inch further than stock, which I really like. Highly recommend this for 991 Turbo or Turbo S. My local Porsche dealer installed it in about an hour and a half.

Performance wise, I can't tell if it made any negligible difference, but it does weigh considerably less and flows freer, but I don't confirm it makes a big difference. Theoretically, it should help. It really sounds great on the track, btw!!

$1900. It's just some straight pipes that connect to the cats, so the two small mufflers upstream stay, and the large central rear muffler comes out and is replaced by the sharkwerks. It's pretty simple.

Pics of how they stick out further than stock? Also, any idea how much the stock exhaust weighs compared to the Sharkwerks?

I like my sharkwerks exhaust. It required some adjustment when I installed it but with the stock tips looks like OEM from outside. Just have to fiddle with it when in place with the four bolts loosened.
