+1 same here!
Looks like stock, but sounds much better than stock.

It occurred to me that the stock exhaust should easily pass the noise limits at Laguna Seca. Any idea what the decibel reading is with the SharkWerks exhaust?

I don't have any decibel read, but I'd nearly guaranty that it will still pass noise restrictions. It's not much louder than a stock GT3. You still have the two intermediate mufflers that remain in the car before the cats, so it's not like a straight pipe.

Probably you've never been black flagged for noise at Laguna Seca. The limits vary by event, but at that track, it's most times as low as 92 db! Even a stock GT3 will fail that, but LS is an extreme example. Most tracks either don't have a limit or it's more in the 100+ db range.

Will not pass Laguna Seca sound test.

Sorry, my track of choice is VIR, which has no sound restrictions, except the track is off limits from 11am to noon on Sundays. (We love our Porsches and our bible here in the South!!)

Just had it installed on my Turbo S. Wow! Definitely livens up the car. Wish it came from the factory this way.

I didn't seem to have the same issue as previous posters who mentioned that the factory tips stuck out farther than normal.. they're in the same spot as the original exhaust on my particular car.

Thanks Dan @ Sharkwerks for the quick response and turn around... now to do some launches!

thx for the support everyone!

A word on Laguna Seca... a stock GT3, 997.2 TT S and even 991 Turbo S in stock form have all been black flagged at the track... A royal PIA but I would say anyone with Laguna in mind needs to do a bit of lifting or use other tracks in the area;( Some days they have higher DB levels but it's gotten to be so low now that when stock cars can't pass...

Anyways here's what it does sound like uncorked

There are no intermediate mufflers before the cats on the 991TT and TTS.

Correct this is what you have after the cats:

With the SharkWerks exhaust, the car sounds like it should have from the factory!

Can you install this exhaust without tuning it? What about CEL? Any ideas on power gains, if any, or are we just making it more pleasant to listen to?

Absolutely no CELs and with better flow you'll see about 15 or so hp with a lag reduction. However yes we like the sound

When you press the Sport or Sport+ buttons with the OEM exhaust, there is an increase in sound. I assume this is because a valve opens. Is the valve on the OEM center muffler that's replaced by the SharkWerks, or is it located somewhere upstream?

Actually there are no valves on the stock exhaust but pressing the button actually raises the idle speed (amongst other things like higher ignition, throttle and other maps) which makes it a bit louder.
