Oh yeah...I forgot about the EU delivery on the car! But at least you got to drive it already, and since you're in Florida, can continue to drive it all year long!

How much was the GTR when it first came out a few years ago? Something around $70K and I could be way off on that figure. Then people were pointing to the bang for buck factor of the GTR being much better in the TT. Now a few years on and the prices have risen quite a lot. Now it cost just as much as an older 997.1/.2 Twin Turbo off the lot. And the "Premiums" that a dealer will want are are due to low production numbers higher than the Porsche Turbo.

Now besides financials and such, doesn't the GTR still suffer from Heat Soak and other ailments. If you intend to track a GTR then do everything one can do to make the car run cooler such as larger inter coolers. Don't know if replacing the factory Radiator to a larger unit would help much in this case.

But everyone must admit that Chevrolet finally did their homework on interior designs finally. For the C7 is leaps and bounds and millennium's ahead than the C6 and older chevy design. But I like all of the designs.

I heard this from a factory driver (not Chevrolet) who practices at LS and the number of Z06's with blown engines was six as of a few weeks ago. Also, look at Car & Driver's review of the C7 with a Z51 option in its current issue. They expressed the hope that Chevy would work out the many problems they experienced with their long-term C7, including a blown engine due to connecting rod problem and later compounded by a faulty oil filter. The list is long. At least Porsche put a no sale on GT3's last year when the engine problem occurred until it fixed the problem and gave owners extended warranties. No problem since with GT3's.

I happen to like the new Z06 and when Chevy fixes the many problems would consider one for the track (would keep my 991 TTS).

As of April 2015, they had already built over 8000. 6 reported failures is a low number based on the build numbers.

Considering at least 3 have blown up during magazine / reporter testing, that figure of 6 seems impossibly low. Rumours are many, many times higher than that.....
