Smile My 2014 991 TTS ("Redguts") Gets Modded by Detailing Dynamics

Well the modding of my 2014 991 TTS by Detailing Dynamics in Mineola, Long Island has begun.

On December 26th -- the day after Christmas -- the pros at Detailing Dynamics did a complete xPel ultimate wrap of the car. Note their extensive removal of parts to ensure that there are no visible seams.

Below are the pics. Tomorrow they will do Clearplex on the windshield and tints. Then laser jammers and radar detector with display in the rearview mirror -- vital equipment for when the car goes on Goldrush Rally 7 in June. More pics to come.

Thanks Eddie and Matt for your hard work over the holidays!

Will you let me know if they do your engine louvers/cover? My guy told me it gets too hot to wrap which sounds on point.

My recollection is they were wrapping the entire exterior of the car.

Detailing Dynamics is indeed wrapping the engine cover/louvers in XPEL. I spoke with them today about your concern and they told me that it is not an issue or problem and they have wrapped countless 911s with XPEL and have never had a problem with putting XPEL on those portions of the car.

Here is the link to their gallery of the Porsches they've worked on. As you can see, tons of them:

Thought you'd be pleased. DD has done so so many 911s.

Detailing Dynamics continues to work on modding the car over the holidays and has now installed the tints and Clearplex. Pics are below.

Next up are the laser jammers/radar detector and the front/rear parking cameras.

Thanks. The mods were indeed researched and thought out. Lots of credit to Matt and Eddie at Detailing Dynamics for their ideas. Other good stuff is coming in the next week for the car.

The colors and build of the car were just good luck. Could not believe that those colors with the build sat unsold for months at the dealer. Thank goodness that car was not at a dealer in Long Island, Manhattan or Bergen County. If it had been it would have been long gone and certainly not at an over $24K discount. The car gods were kind to me.

Thanks! I am sure your XPEL will be great. Full wrap or partial? Any other things being done?

Exactly, plus a small section of the rear bumper directly behind the wheels.

Yes good idea. DD did recommend doing the wheel arches if I was not doing the entire car.
