It might be function over form. AFAIK,PO laser needs to reflect back off the car in order to get an accurate reading. There are 2 places on the front of the car where they're aiming : license plate and headlights. FWIW,the most reflective is the license plate and the most common targeted spot to get a reading. The jammers can only cover a certain area and even though he doesn't have a license plate on the front, they'll still target that area out of habbit.

I guess it all comes down to whether they will work as well there too. Sometimes function simply has to take over form I'm afraid, and this appears to be one of those occasions. Not to worry OP. It is still an awesome car and that's all that matters in the long run. No point getting too nit picky.
Thanks. Yes the eye of the active cruise control is massive.

Correct and that is why DD located them where they did. The location was the topic of considerable discussion between DD and me. We located them there because the most common aim point for the lasers is the front plate area -- not the intakes.

The shifters are ok however your radar unit needs to be hidden behind the bumper. That unit mounted where it is makes everything out of balance and noticible.

Yea if that was moved that would make it better.

Florida does not require front license plates and I never put one on any of my cars.

I'll probably put it on if I get too many tickets. The car is really too low to do the under the license plate foldout thing and the tow hook mail does not work because the car has parking sensors. So it's either no front plate or drill the front bumper.

There is no question that if you really focus on it with the camera and take a close-up you can see it. But when just walking by the car unless you are really looking for it you wouldn't notice as the antenna is black
