Default 10.571 Secs @ 129.456 MPH, 10.783 Secs @ 131.288 MPH, 7.5s 60-130 -- FVD Tuned

I had ATXAutosport here in Austin install the IPD Plenum, FVD Piggyback and FVD Brombacher headers and just got the car back today. The sound is improved with the addition of the headers, more pops and burbles and a throatier growl at idle.

I thought the car was fast before but it's pretty unbelievable now. I took it out to my favorite county road which is not too flat and ran some quarters. I ran one on the way out that was close to flat and didn't get a good 60ft time, it was 1.86s but the quarter was 10.783 with a trap of 131.288 mph. That is amazing for not doing anything other than just hitting the accelerator from a dead stop and I didn't use launch control on that one which is why the 60ft time wasn't so great.

The other quarters I used launch control and the 60ft times are much better, one was less than 1.6s. The other quarters are uphill and so the trap speed isn't as high. I got 10.571 at 129.5 for my best uphill quarter, so if I had used launch control on the first quarter I could have seen 10.5 at 132. I have a standing half mile time of 17.11 @ 154.00 and a 0-60mph of 2.77s.

On Friday I am going to take it out to my perfectly flat mile and run it there to see what it can do. I should get sub 10.5 at about 133 if it goes according to the other Vbox quarters I did when I got the car new.

This set of mods cost me $7400 parts and labor, a pretty good result for the money spent IMO.

The improvement in 60-130 is dramatic and where I was hoping to get a good bump. The best time I had from previous runs was 8.8s, this one is 7.5s. The mods have added horsepower up top where it really helps. The 60-130 on this car was weak when I got it but it's impressive now.

Impressive! I'm curious on the FVD tuner, how did you arrive at that choice Vs GIAC, Cobb etc?

I bought the car with the FVD exhaust already on it and liked it. I have a DinanTronics Stage 2 on my M5 along with their exhaust and Noelle high flow downpipes. I have decided that piggybacks are pretty good if they have enough inputs and the FVD does as does the DinanTronics. I was going to get the GIAC but I would have had to send the DME in and it would have cost more, the FVD was $2495. I think it has done a lot for the car.
