Traction is Already an Issue
As the temps dip to 60 and below, I am having a hard time keeping the car pointed straight with launch control. I have only 1100 miles, so the tires are not worn out. And I had been driving the car on the highway for 30 minutes, so the rubber was up to operating temp. Can it be that this car already needs winter rubber even with AWD? We aren't even into November yet!

Why not? When I go to Atco for a track rental in December, it will be 40 degrees. Summer rubber won't work in that weather. Even with a well-prepped 100 ft. at the starting line, the car will wind up lighting up the tires before the 1/8th mile. Winter performance tires will stick much better than summers will in that weather.

The PTM with it's anti slip regulation (ASR) prevents wheel spin so unless you are turning traction control off your PTM may have an issue if you are seeing excessive wheel spin. Porsche does a great job explaining PTM and ASR on their web page BTW.

Isn't my rental. I will check.
I am not turning off traction control. The car is rotating as I am launching. It is apportioning torque back to front and side to side. You can feel that it is doing so because it is not getting good traction from the rear. In the summer, it would just explode in a straight line.
Even with my C2S, when I switched from winter to summer tires in March, the launch control was not as effective on the summer tires as it was on the winter tires. It wasn't until the temps were well into the 70s that the car would dead hook and launch straight.
