Turbo S Backup Camera
I've never had a backup camera on a 911 until this Turbo S.
I'm sure it's normal, but it is very grainy, fuzzy, and cannot see objects very well that are not close to the bumper.
It has to be one of the worst backup camera views I've ever seen. I don't really care since I never use it or rely on it.
And yes, I did clean it from the back.
I just wanted to know what every body else's display looked like.
Thanks.

Mine is grainy, but overall clear unless it is a drizzly or foggy day. Also can see pretty far distance. Sounds like yours may be "outta whack".
It is a tad better than the R8 but not as good as the Cadillac.

Absolutely a low quality picture...
but dude, you are driving a magnificent automobile that in every other respect is very high quality. From the engineering and design to the flawless build everything in my TTS is exceptional. No, Porsche is not perfect, as we saw with the faulty connection in the 991 GT3 engines. But the company swiftly addressed that problem and extended the warranty for the re-engined cars.

The camera is functional but not great. The one in our Cayenne is the same and both are worse than the one I have in my BMW. It's livable but surprising that Porsche didn't use a better camera - they are pretty cheap these days. Maybe it reflects their ambivalence about putting them in.
I know the purists say you don't need cameras but they are light and cheap and if they allow you to avoid one curb or wall in a tight garage, then they have paid for themselves many times over.

Same clarity on my Panamera, Cayenne and my new Turbo. Gets the job done, at end of day that's all that matters. Not sure why it would be any more effective if clearer.

Agree that it gets the job done but a clearer camera is really helpful at night especially if it is raining. The graininess of the screen is really noticeable then and is much less of a problem in my BMWs which have a higher quality camera.
