So tell me (us)....
any nicer vehicle - at any cost - that would combine the qualities of style, seating position, creature comfort, compact size, stereo (Burmeister) to a useable exciting yet sensible package...that keeps you somewhat under the radar. Wheeled the car on its first decent road trip over two days (1500km) and completely smitten with it. This is not a passing fancy or shiney toy of the month sentiment....these cars are special. I had a blast and made a mundane business trip into a nice summer memory. Just three incidents of guys coming up on me with digital cameras to snap a shot of that rear end at speed. If you are on the fence - and have the means - I can't believe there exists a nicer vehicle in an package for people who "use" their cars.

It's a great GT and nothing quite like it which is why I have one. IMHO 911's have always been like that.

Perhaps the new 2015 Ferrari California T?
If we're talking any price point, then the F12?

Wholeheartedly agree with OP. Have had my '15 TTS coupe for four weeks now. Still under 2k miles, but tracked it for one session last week with about 1300 miles on the clock, so did not wring it out. It is a weapon. In every driving situation, including some long days touring, it answers better than any true sports car I can imagine and still accommodates my rather large dog (not on the track) in the back. A very comfortable GT for extended drives. Seats are amazing. Burmester is second to none. Exhaust note on overrun is great. Not a boy racer in any way, which to me is desirable, but on those few occasions when we want the grunt, it is readily available so there has been essentially no contest with the occasional challenge so far with any other vehicle that I have encountered. Understated elegance with the Turbo S wheels. If one wants attention more than dynamic superiority and relative practicality in most normal situations there are more expensive makes to consider.

The is so good at everything it's (almost) boring at times, then you hit sport+ and you remember what you're in. I'm nearing 10k miles in 9 months of ownership, with most of that being since spring. Aside from the throttle body boot issue (which has been fine since replacing it 2 wks ago), the car has been a joy. Normally I'm constantly pondering and evaluating the next car, and with this one I just can't. There is nothing out there that I could drive year round and occasionally track that I would rather have than the 991TT.

Agreed - previously owned a 991 C2S and considered moving onto either a 12C or 458... but neither could match the mix of practicality, performance, and understated nature of a 991 TTS.
It's my DD so I drive it everywhere... much more at ease parking in a supermarket to do the groceries than I would be with a 12C/458. However, I still always look for the farthest spot well away from view or risk of door dings!

Contact Justin Kairis of Benchmark Motoring in Washington State. They have a rear plate laser shifter mount that works great with the optional rear shifters. Clean mounting solution.

If you go to benchmark motoring's Facebook page and scroll down, you will find a white turbo with the rear frame mount. I didn't get the live module. As I understand it, it works off of others who have the service. I am not sure there are enough subscribers out there to warrant the subscription cost.

What is all this stuff about radar detectors and stuff? Like.... are you guys going over the speed limit or something and breaking the law? You are not supposed to do that. ;-)
