Default Complementary Electronic Update

I just got a notice of an electronic update to my turbo. Anyone know what that is?

That's really all they said. My dealer call me and I have an appointment next week. Mostly software updates he said.

I read elsewhere it should be a PDCC software update.

They did mine the other day. Apparently mainly to do with a 4WS software revision...alters the behavior. Also an update to the symposer...something to do with changing a valve that also goes faulty. Couldn't really tell any changes from whatever they did.

I had mine done, she thought it was some PCM updates but I don't know. Could tell the difference either.

To be specific there is a: Reprogram Instrument cluster with latest software,
Reprogram rear axle steering control unit with latest software, Replace vacuum lines to the sound symposer change over valve. That's it. These will bring it all up to date. There is nothing to do with any ecu or pdcc software updates or anything of that nature....well not at this stage anyway. Cheers.

I had the update to replace vacuum lines to the sound symposer change over valve done a month ago, but was unaware of the software update. Thanks.

I just had it done while car was at dealer for boost leak (ended up being loose intake). Can't tell any difference yet. Any idea how they changed the RWS programming?

My car was dropped off today for a Cabriolet top issue and this is what my service guy said in an email just prior:

"There are indeed 3 campaigns (Re-program instrument cluster; Re-program rear end control unit and Re-program control unit for rear axle steering) on your vehicle. They have been included on the repair order."

On a side note, got a new Boxster S with 140kms on the odo as a loaner for the weekend. After 75kms, as nice as the new Boxster S may be....I appreciate my car even more, but still a nice gesture IMO!
