Default Steel rotors for ceramic TTS?

Does anyone make a steel rotor replacement for a 991 TTS with ceramic brakes?

Doing some track time with a TTS (991) and the cost of ceramic rotor replacement is just silly. I have not found a replacement for the huge ceramic rotors on the TTS wondering if anyone has made a set yet?

Have you checked to see if the 991 GT3 steel rotors will retro-fit the TTS ?

The issue is the stock iron rotors are 380mm front and rear on both the 991 GT3 and TTS while the PCCB rotors are 410 mm front and 390mm rear (it appears that both cars share brake components). If I wanted to use the stock calipers I need to match the rotor sizes and also find proper pads too.

Update: Girodisk has offered to take a look at making a set of replacements... I need to send them a pair of front and rear PCCB's to "reverse engineer" a set of iron rotors... how many folks would be interested?

At $25,000 for Replacement Ceramic Rotors and Pads installed vs $2,500 for Steel Rotors and Pads you are
certainly on the right path if you want to track your car. I checked with Suncoast Porsche Parts in Florida.
and they do not know of any existing Conversion kits therefore, Calipers, Rotors and Pads would have to be changed to accommodate the change to steel. Costs could be close to $10,000. I vaguely remember PAG
saying they would be offering a Steel Rotor Conversion Kit when they first announced the Turbo S so perhaps you could check with PAG in Germany since most dealers I've checked with know nothing about it.

Hey CanyonRs4,

I bought a 2014 991 turbo back in february and I just switched over to the PCCB Ceramic brakes. I originally had the Brembo 991 steel brakes that came with the car and I'm actually selling them. They are in great condition with about 1500 miles on them. If you are interested please give me a call at 3106140818.

^ The ceramics on the TTs are insane good. Don't blame you for changing the steels. That said the steels are no doubt the more cost effective for track use. Be damned paying 20K to change rotors if they wear out on the track.
