Thanks for the kind comments guys !
First impressions compared to the 997:
- Fit and finish so much better !
- the car does not feel so light in the front anymore entering a turn hot .
- the sound of the engine is better than i expected considering it's a turbo .
- a lot smoother than the 997.
- again better materials all around .
- the four wheel steering is fantastic !
- car only has 400 miles , will post more impressions

The only thing I'd add (comparing new 997TT, not S, to my previous 997.2TT, not S) is that the 997TT feels considerably faster. This seems odd to me since the car reportedly only has an extra 20 HP vs. my prior turbo. (Both have the sport chromo option.)
Ok, one more. The Burmeister is awesome. I don't think that an option when I ordered my 997.2TT several years back.

The burmeister is one of the few extras I didn't get but the stock Bose is surprisingly good for my taste ( I drive with stereo off most of the time )

I personally would not spend the thousands on an "upgraded" stereo system in a Porsche since I rarely listen to music in the car. I would much rather use those funds for performance enhancing options. This coming from the owner, designer of a high end audio company.

I have a Burmester which sounds awesome and the other goodies like PDDC/PCCB/SPASM etc. Maybe GT3_racer can afford everything and not have to make a choice. Maybe the GT3-racer thinks he has "enough" performance with a stock 991TT and would like the high end stereo. I had the Bose in my 997.2 and it was nice but not even close to the Burmester. If GT3_racer is like me---I don't track my cars anymore---he will use the Burmester all the time and rarely if ever use the performance a stock 991TT offers. There is nothing wrong with the Bose but not everyone has to choose......and like the car, which is the best, the Burmester is also the best.

I agree ! I ordered the $6.500 B&O in my Merc E63 and to be honest I regret

Agreed, the 991 Turbo S is much better in every way than my 2011 Turbo S. Including the fancy stereo. I would not have ordered it,but my car had it,so I have it.
Very Happy with the Bump Up....

Objectively data-wise, the 991TT is better in every way than the 997TT. Subjectively, the steering feel is definitely less communicative in the 991, but the chassis dynamics and turn-in are so much better (wider track, RWS, PDCC) that the car feels smaller and much more nimble when you get it moving, however it's definitely a sizeable step in the analog->digital continuum from the 997, which can be disconcerting at times.
