Backlog for Turbo/Turbo S Cabs
Any sense of how deep the order list is for the Turbo/Turbo S? Are there sufficient allocations for the dealers?

As I don't think there's been a big crowd 'hanging on the fence' in anticipation of the 991 Turbo S, and in view of broad sentiments the car is overpriced, I doubt there's much of a waiting list. I think dealers will be trying to sell this car. Of course, the first to arrive will be gobbled up by the 'gotta have it' folks, but otherwise I think its going to be a slow sell. Id further speculate there are a few other 'game changers' in the works. One is the 991 platform has to be nearing its 'end', especially with the great looking, though underpowered, mid-engine cayman on the rise. Another, price related pull, is one can buy a Ferrari 430 Spyder for about $150K that will titillate owners for decades versus the quick flips associated with so many overpriced and leased turbos.

I was referring to the 911, not the 991 per se. Having had 911 models for 40 years, the most recent being a 993TT, 996 RufTT, and 997TTS, I just feel it's lifetime is coming up, delayed largely by brilliant techno-gizmos to correct for a heavy powerplant over the rear wheels.. In the end, Porsche will shine among the sports car/exotic crowd with mid engine cars in the future. Just IMHO.
